Saw the Avett Brothers at Terminal 5 over the weekend. In short, performers - Good, Space: full of douches and lousy sightline, Sound: poor, vocals too hot and acoustics of said space leave a lot to be desire, Lighting & Set: Actually really well lit and cool backdrop of the Williamsburg bridge.

I first heard the Avett Brothers on the KEXP song of the day podcast on May 31, 2007. Really liked the song and dug into the band a bit. I bought Emotionalism and went back and forth on whether I liked them. My buddy Bobert said he liked them, so I bought Live, Volume 2 to get a feel for their shows and bought the tickets. They have not made my list of favorites, but I keep listening. Have a listen for yourself.
